On the wedding night, everyone was happy… the guests, the bride, the groom, the mother…
But one person stood quietly in the courtyard, gazing at the sky.
It was the father…
The one who once taught his daughter to walk by holding her in his arms,
was now sending her off in a bridal palanquin.
No one asked:
“Father, are you alright?”

وہ باپ تھا…
جس نے اپنی بیٹی کو گود میں لے کر چلنا سکھایا تھا، آج اسے ڈولی میں بٹھا کر رخصت کر رہا تھا۔
کسی نے نہ پوچھا:
"ابا جی، آپ ٹھیک تو ہیں؟"
بس اُس کی آنکھوں نے کہا:
" ایک باپ اپنی دنیا دے کر، بیٹی کو دنیا دیتا ہے…"
